What makes SYLA different from other activewear?

Most activewear is plastic. Polyester, nylon and spandex, worn against your skin for hours at a time. SYLA is made from GOTS-certified organic cotton grown in Turkey, with just 5% elastane for stretch. Real performance, without living in synthetics.

Will cotton stretch out or lose its shape?

No. The 5% elastane is what keeps everything holding its shape through wear and washing. This isn't a cotton t-shirt, it's a performance knit that happens to be cotton rather than plastic. It softens with every wash, so you'll be reaching for SYLA over your traditional activewear in no time.

Can I actually train in this?

Yes! It's built for pilates, lifting and everything in between. Cotton breathes better than polyester, so it stays cooler. But being honest, cotton holds a little more moisture than synthetics. So for long high sweat sessions, it will feel damper than a traditional legging. For most training and all day wear, that trade is well worth it.

What does GOTS-certified actually mean?

The Global Organic Textile Standard is the leading certification for organic fiber. It means the cotton was grown without synthetic pesticides or GMO seed, and that the certification follows the fabric through processing. Ours is also tested free of harmful substances at the fabric stage under OEKO-TEX Standard 100, and traceable from farm to fabric.
